A4E works to keep European aviation safe, competitive and sustainable — powering the connectivity that keeps Europe moving, working and growing.

In 2015, the CEOs of Air France-KLM, easyJet, IAG, Lufthansa Group and Ryanair broke new ground, joining forces across the traditional divide between legacy and low-cost carriers. Together, Europe’s five largest airlines established a single, united voice for Europe’s air carriers on aviation’s most pressing issues in Brussels. Airlines for Europe (A4E) launched in January 2016, marking the start of a new era of European airline cooperation.

Today, A4E counts 16 leading airline groups as its members, representing over 80 per cent of European air traffic. New carriers, both big and small, from low-cost to leisure, legacy and cargo, have joined. Beyond airlines, global aircraft and aircraft engine manufacturers have also become A4E members.
