Ourania Georgoutsakou

Managing Director

Ourania “Rania” Georgoutsakou is the Managing Director of Airlines for Europe (A4E), the voice of Europe’s leading airlines in Brussels.

Rania joined A4E in June 2023 and is responsible for the association’s strategy and impact. Her role is to represent Europe’s leading airlines in the Brussels political arena, liaise with industry executives and manage the association’s operations.

She has 20-years’ experience of advocating for membership associations, previously leading LightingEurope and working as Director of Public Policy for Europe for SEMI and as Senior Policy Coordinator with the Assembly of European Regions in Strasbourg and in Brussels.

Camille Barré

Camille Barré

Policy Director

Camille Barré is an EU public affairs professional with over ten years of experience in Brussels, specialising in transport, mobility and industrial policy. She was Director for Transport & Mobility at Tyres Europe, where she led the association’s work on EU mobility, emissions and regulatory policy and coordinated industry engagement with EU institutions and international regulatory bodies.

Prior to that, she established and led the Brussels office of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), strengthening the organisation’s engagement with EU institutions and Member States. Camille holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Kent’s Brussels School of International Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies from The Hague University. She is multilingual and speaks French, English, Spanish and Dutch.

Achim Baumann

Policy Director

Achim Baumann joined A4E as a Policy Director in December 2017 to manage issues related to European air traffic management, safety and engineering and maintenance.

Achim’s work over the last three decades was shaped by the variety of topics, cultures and organisations he was involved with, and defined by a holistic approach driven to find the optimum solutions for all stakeholders. Prior to A4E, Achim worked as IATA Director Safety & Flight Operations in the Middle East/North Africa region (MENA), focussing on improving safety and efficiency in the region’s aviation industry. They were challenging times, and he also represented airline interests towards organisations like ICAO, CANSO, air navigation service providers, airports and government organisations.

Before joining IATA in 2011, Achim worked for the Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH (DFS) as a Senior Consultant and Regional Manager. He managed and participated in international projects covering all aspects of aviation, from operational issues on the ground and in the air to technical ATM/CNS and organisational projects. In addition, he managed projects for EUROCONTROL and the European Commission.

The foundation for his professional career was laid between 1986 and 1997, during his time as an officer in the German Airforce, where he managed the use, repair and replacement of equipment and material for the F-4F/RF-4E aircraft, and further reinforced by his position as Deputy Head of a Certification Body for ISO9000. Achim holds a degree in Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering from the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich and a degree in Economics from the University of Hagen.

Ida Faralla

Ida Faralla

Policy Director

Ida Faralla joined A4E as a Policy Officer in April 2022, where she supports the team on sustainability and taxation dossiers.

Ida has expertise in government affairs, advocacy campaigns and engagement strategies. Prior to A4E, she worked in two public affairs agencies, representing clients on a broad range of policy topics, including transport, tourism, energy as well as digital, industrial and healthcare policy.

At the beginning of her career, Ida gained experience in the legal field, working for two law firms and then qualifying to practice as a lawyer in Italy.

Ida studied law at the Luiss Guido Carli University (LUISS, Italy), and international law at the Hague Academy of International Law (the Hague). An Italian national, Ida speaks fluent English, as well as conversational French.

Davide Maistro

Policy Director

Davide joined A4E as a Policy Director in 2024, after many years of advising companies and trade associations on transport and travel, energy, technology and sustainability matters.

Before his spell in public affairs consulting, Davide worked at RAND Europe, where he contributed to creating the European Defence Skills Partnership on behalf of the European Commission, contributing to coalition building across the aerospace and defence sector. He also worked in the in-house think tank of the European Parliament (DG EPRS), and in the office of NATO’s Secretary General.

Davide holds degrees from the University of Milan and from the Institut d'études européennes in Brussels. He is fluent in Italian, English and French and has some basic command of Spanish and German.

Monika Rybakowska

Monika Rybakowska

Policy Director

Monika has been working in aviation for 8 years, with her most recent role in the Single European Sky Unit of the European Commission's DG MOVE, where she is dealing with the performance and charging scheme of air navigation service providers. Her aviation career began at Ryanair, where she played a key role in establishing the Brussels public affairs office, working on critical issues such as sustainability, passenger rights, and the impact of Brexit on traffic rights between the UK and the EU. During the Brexit negotiations, she was instrumental in securing an Air Operator Certificate and setting up Ryanair UK.

Prior to that, Monika also worked at DG COMP, a Warsaw law firm, and the Polish Civil Aviation Authority.

Monika holds an LL.M. in European Law from the College of Europe, a Master’s in International and European Business Law from Université Paris-Dauphine, and a Master’s in Law from the University of Wrocław. In 2023, she completed a course in Sustainable Business and Net Zero at the University of Oxford. In addition to her native Polish, she is fluent in English and French, with a good command of Spanish and Portuguese. Currently, she is also learning Dutch, having lived in Belgium for 9 years.

Ben Kennard

Communications Director

Ben Kennard is an Irish national with over ten years of experience in communications and advocacy, both as an employee and a self-employed consultant, primarily for Brussels-based trade associations, as well as in consultancy firms and the public sector.

Before joining A4E, Ben was Head of Communications at the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) and previously led communications for the European trade associations representing the bio-based and paper sectors.

Ben holds an undergraduate degree in economics, politics and law from Dublin City University (DCU) as well as master’s degrees in European studies from the College of Europe and in psychology from BPP University. He is a native English speaker and has a good command of French.

Rinda brings over five years of experience in events and communications across intergovernmental organisations, EU-funded programmes, and the private sector, working closely with EU Delegations and international institutions.

Her experience includes coordinating multi-stakeholder events, managing institutional relationships, supporting executive visibility, and delivering communications initiatives across multicultural environments.
