The European aviation sector welcomes most of the proposals contained in the first Omnibus package on sustainability. However, this must only be the start to further simplification and regulatory enhancement, which is vital to ensure that EU air carriers can remain globally competitive and meet their net-zero ambitions.
The EU must therefore take decisive action to simplify aviation-related regulations in the form of an aviation-specific Omnibus proposal.
